anyone know of a program to adjust your configuration so the monitor doesn't go crazy. It pixelates in various patterns or shit goes fucked up. This randomly, it also freaking turns off sometimes, at times it turns on for no reason.

Huh? is it an LCD?

you'll be wanting 'Just Stop my Monitor Freaking Out and Turning Off and Stuff 1.0b4' I think...

It is an LCD, is this a usual problem?

(Mar 28 06, 06:15)Kinda... make sure you set it to the maximum size the monitor supports. So if its a 19" and it says native 1280 x 1024 set it to that. if you make it smaller the pixels are not a 1-1 relationship anymore.
That's what I found anyway. let me know if thats not the case.

No sure if its 17 or 19 is pretty big, but regardless its set to 1280x1024 and 32bit. It fucks up even when not playing games. I need something for it, what is there to adjust the graficcard with the monitor or are those 2 different things.

what joyride2 said. unlike crt monitors, lcds have 1 native resolution, all others will look like absolute garbage. it sounds like yours is not set to its native res.

shouldnt there be a program to determine this(how to set it), and why does it only go crazy sometimes. Well at least once a day.

what about hertz

builtin controls (or your OS) should show max (native) resolution, or a google search on the model, or the manual? (crazy idea I know)
You shouldnt have to do anything special with refresh rate.
