be patient... wait for it...
be prepared to be basked in lameness. the logo is just so weak. nothing about it says revolutionary.does anyone else see nintendo jumping off a cliff with this Wii?
i think such a dramatic departure from the gaming console norm is either going to be something spectactular or be the kiss of death.
coming from nintendo, i think it will be the kiss of death bc when was the last time nintendo did anything really cool?
and then there were two.

out of the 3 new consoles... its the one I'd be most likely to buy.
always been a nintendo loyalist... not a hardcore gamer.

There's no doubt the system will be a great meachine. But the name is going to be a turnoff to a lot of people.

yeah, i also think it's very original...
I think Wii will be the only video-game to compete with PS3, I'm not talking about processing, but about fun.
I remember one time that me and my friends got a ps2 with 2 controlers and some games and game cube with 4 contorlers and just mario kart... belive me, we played more game cube than ps2, i guess ps2 is for pro-gamerzz, and game cube is for the hole family. even the controlers design tell us this, the game cube is easy and color full, the ps2 looks like an alien device, witch is very cool too, but you need a little pratice to get it right...
just toughts...

when was the last time nintendo did anything really cool?

nintendo has a few things going for it at this point:
ps3 is still shaky and will be double the price (at least) of wii.
the wii has a HUGE intrigue factor with the new controllers being different than any nextgen system.
nintendo has a 'fun' factor that sony and ms have always lacked.
i'm betting wii is going to knock the gaming world on its ass for a bit.

yaaaas, yaaaas.

hehe ..pee rhymes with wii...

plus let's admit it... all three systems are competing for the market but each system has it's own genre that it excels at.. It's all a matter of taste, choice, cash, and whether or not you have to go to the bathroom..pii.... =)

"i think such a dramatic departure from the gaming console norm is either going to be something spectactular or be the kiss of death."
Its SO different that its revolutionary.
"coming from nintendo, i think it will be the kiss of death bc when was the last time nintendo did anything really cool?"
The nintendo DS is the best thing since the gameboy. Do you even play games?

I agree the name sucks at first - though now am getting used to it, even liking it.
If handled right with marketing - could work.
"Wii rule" "Wii are the future" "Wii bla bla" etc etc.
Am suprised this hasnt been up at NTB yet. Considering we're going to soon be flooded with this logo/name for the next 6 or so years.

Yeah to bad the logo looks like We the clothing companies. So boo to that.
Wii is going to be, graphicly, as powerful as an xbox
It's going to reatail probably at about $200us.
You can only download games that Nintendo owns, or from other companies who have signed on. On of the two so far is Sega, and one old school company that did Wonder Boy.
Nintendo's startagey is not to be number 1, right now they want to be number two. And considering the current gen trends, the key one being, most house holds have two consoles. So if they keep the price down they will most likely be people's second choice, especially when there games are trending to party type games. They will also clinch the lower income families. So really Wii is not a kiss of death, but a breath of life.
PS, not a fanboy. I own PS2 and Xbox :P

video games right?
it's a significant investment any way you slice it but the 360 integrates so well with media center pcs its actually kind of sick
