'allergies are an epidemic at the turn of the millenium. over 60 million americans suffer from allergies - that's 20% of the population!
respiratory allergies include environmental pollutants, like asbestos and smoke fumes, and seasonal conditions, like dust, pollen or spores. this type of allergic reaction often occurs when the body has an excess accumulation of mucous which harbors environmental irritants.
common drugstore medications generally mask symptoms and also have a rebound effect - the more you use them the more you need them. the newest ones are strong medicine .. and have strong side effects like rapid heartbeat, even possible tumors. steroid drugs for hayfever allergies, if taken for long periods, do not cure and often make the situation worse by depressing immune defenses, and impeding allergen elimination.'

mucous is dead white blood cells. white blood cells are the body's defenders. they eat the germs and viruses.
sugar paralyzes them. you'll notice if you eat sugar while sick your mucous will double almost right away.

Yeah the netti pot is designed to make the process easier. Its weird at first but if you do it regularly it really does help.

hey _salisae_ good tips.
i found cutting all wheat and milk products helped me in the past.
beer is the worst.thing to consider you've got to start well before the season and stick to it to make the most out of it. it's not like 'for a day i'll stick to the diet and off goes the allergie'.
also have a closer look at the contents of pharma, a lot of it has got 'lactose' as parts, which in itself is the cause for a lot of allergies.

"the allergy business means big bucks for both U.S. and international pharmaceutical companies. These companies earn billions in sales off of many different branded products."
No one is dying from seasonal allergies, those pharmaceutical companies will NEVER create a cure or any vaccine or super effective drugs against allergies. They're racking way too much money with the pills currently in store.
Some says its the same thing for cancer, the cancer "industry" is generating billions in sales for those pharmaceutical cies.

''Is every year really “the worst one yet” for allergies? Possibly.
There’s admittedly some role of PR and marketing in that, but climate change does seem to be making allergies worse. Allergenic plants are bigger and produce more pollen, and seasons are starting earlier and lasting longer.''
Source: Readers Digest
I've also read that more and more people have allergies. And the pollution is one of the main cause. Because it seems that plants and trees are generating more pollen when they're in polluted air...

My principal allergen is pollen from birch trees.
And 3 years ago i've started to have crossed allergies.
That mean my body react to food that have a genetical code closed to birch trees...
So, when i eat cherry, peach, almond and some some of apple, for exemple, my tongue is itchy and numb and it itches in the canals of my ears...
- what i know is its what you eat that causes your small intestine to degrade. 90 % of your immune system is your gut and the flora. ones it goes its all gamesonyurimon

I've read that taking LOCAL honey will help to build up a tolerance to allergies. I took shots for many years, and now supplement with local honey. Don't buy the store bought honey. You want what's in the local brand of honey for your area, from farmers or local stores, to get the pollens in the honey from your local area, to help build up your seasonal tolerance(s).

helminthic therapy
"In 1976 a researcher, J. A. Turton, infected himself with a parasitic organism, hookworm (a type of helminth) and reported that his allergies disappeared so long as he was infected with the worms"
