Hi,
I am trying to make a button in flash which will make a MC slide out when clicked, which i can do fine, the problem is if i click the same button the MC then does the slide out movement, which was created to happen when another button was pressed. How can i get the MC which is sliding in, stop on the out state even if the same button is pressed again.
if (!out) {
play();
} else {
stop();
}
is it something similar to this code?The code that is on the button is just
gotoandplay();
Any Help would be great.
Thanks

So on the slide MC I have;
frame1
Frame Label: out
AS saying;if (!out) {
out=true;
play();
} else {
stop();
}Frame 10
Frame Label: inside
AS saying;if (!inside) {
inside=true;
play();
} else {
stop();
}and on the button I am pressing to activate this slide, I have a play(); action
Is this correct?
Thanks for the help blaw

I dont seem to be getting anywhere, can someone take a look at this file and see where im going wrong?
I want btn1 to drop the menu down, but if clicked again to stay out.
If btn2 is clicked the slideMC is closed before the next actions are carried out.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
