I'm looking for a good, easy to use and reliable back up application for mac.
I do not have a .mac account and I'm not interested to get one.
I was looking at this:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/m…
Any other options?
What do you guys recomend?

We use this here at work:
http://www.emcinsignia.com/try/it's been solid gold so far, we've had servers crash before and had to use backups, no problems....

I'm using IMsafe both at home and at work. Saved me ass a few times already

I use this at work... have a portable hard drive attached through USB to my IMAC. Works perfectly, scheduled backup at same time every day. Very simple to use.

I'll second that recommendation for Super-Duper. Easy to use and cheap too.
Retrospect is total junk - stay away from it!

Retrospect may be (very) frustrating, but nothing else offers so many features (does it?)
fine-grained file selection rules, backup server for backing up PC and Mac laptops when they connect to the network, scheduled incremental duplicate, stuff like that...
