i wanted to go to that town but never got all the way up there. looks cool. i think i heard about it in this book called "strange california" i got but can't remember

Oh don't mind those Chicago photos. I just posted a bunch up there...not really my best stuff.
I used my rebel xt with the 18-55mm kit lens and a polarizer filter for all photos on there.

rebel, is that 350D over here in UK?
I love this one -

is that the town that everything is 3/4 size?
there was a town in the states on the tv (uk) a few months ago and the whole town was built 3/4 scale cos the guy that owned/built the town was a really small dude so he built everything small to make himself feel better about himself lol

great stuff there, nocomply.

I like the wheel and the roof of the building you have shot with the spire in the center, the others left me feeling dry, certainly good photos but nothing that holds interest.

your compositions are pretty boring, try not sticking the subject in the center so much
- studderine0
oohh..those photos could be used in so many ways. good shit.

(Jul 18 06, 09:33)I disagree - I think the composition as a whole is nice.
But it would be nice to see more of the land around the old houses - landscape style rather than portrait with just the house in it...if you get me....

Yeah as you were touching on Jevad.. looking back I wish I would have shot a few more "all-encompassing" stlye shots.
I wanted to come away with 1 photo that would capture the feel of the entire town, but instead i only got snippits you'd have to piece together to tell the story.
And to answer kon's Q... i'm nearly certain that's another town you're talking about, although these houses were pretty small. I think they made them that way mostly out of necessity though. The town is at 8,000 ft and its freezing ass cold in the winter. Heating a big place wouldn't work.

great shots
Stay with the RAW! Get your hands on adobe bridge or picasa if you are on PC. Raw is total control, a second chance to adjust your camera settings before you lose info in compression.
