Yeah, I can't believe Farney's didn't win. That's just wrong.
I can't think of a single design element that has lasted so long (not to mention still looks good).
2A gets my vote out of those. I just loved v3 (haven't cared for much since then, but way back then it stood out)

Yep. When I doubt God, Zombo solves my problems.

---------------------------it appears that it was in january of 98 that they he was awarded macromedia's site of the day or whatever..
to answer your other question, i heard he was animating comics at one time for crossgen comics. surprised it was not on that list though as it was one of the more influential ones IMO.
on the list, i say nrg tho
crazy how horrible everything looks now, i remember being amazed at the time

nrg = shape-hinting happiness back in the day.
I was sitting in my shite lil office in citibank working on a user's laptop (I used to do tech support... fix instead of use... GAY)... and as I was running a diag. prog. on the laptop... I accidentally stumbled upon the nrg site...
.. that was the first time I had ever seen the flash... and she was purty then... and now fills my pockets.
thanks nrg!

I loved egomedia. I think I interviewed with them in 99. Vir2l was the best motion graphics on the web circa 99-00. I think most of that was quicktime based though.

Yeah NRG is the best in that round. I dont remember seeing the other ones but then again I saw nrg like around 2000 or something. I think it still looks good. It is kinda timeless.

Vir2l was what first blew my mind.

I wonder how they made 3d back then. Eneri was pretty cool

The first time I saw all this cool sites was when i got masters of flash by friend of ed. Back in the early 2000s

wow, that turtleshell site just made me make a little throw-up.

Gabocorp should have been in that list for sure. Mind blowing back in the day... The revolver menu was the sh*t.

I think i had my demo of of Flash 3 up and running shortly after seeing the GaboCorp site. So good.
Since it wasn't on the list I went with NRG.
