(Oct 11 06, 12:09)... I imagine you don't know that 2K7 is actually referencing NBA Live 2K7, and that the album is fucking garbage.
Have you even listened to it?!

oh shit!
can't forget J-Live, and can't believe i forgot to mention MF Doom.
Mr. Lif, Akrobatik ... there are a lot of other great suggestions already posted.
Also will always love Kool Keith and his 25 alter egos.

------------------------sorry I was reffering to the track
"Don't hate the player, Hate the Game" off of that album

Fuck Rap.
It's all about the Clipse and Dip Set.
That's basically it.
Wu transcends Hip-Hop to me, they are just by themselves off to the side uncomparable to anything, anyone has ever done.

Mainstream Rap is dead!
but there is a lot of good rap/hip hop music out there, like most of the posts above. Two that were missed and probabally my favorite are:
Crown City Rockers:
http://www.crowncityrockers.com/…and Omega Watts:
http://www.myspace.com/ohmegawat…

HELL YEAH
- grunttt0
is crown city rockers only instrumental music? clicking through the tracks on their site and i've yet to hear a word?
- nevbaver0
no, Crown City has a dope lyricist, Raashan Ahmad.
Check out their myspace page:
http://www.myspace.com/crowncity…they have samples there.

buckshot dropped some dope stuff with 9th wonder and there is supposed to be a follow up.
for da boot camp fans.
mainstream is for the mainstream. not for the connoseurs.
mainstream rap has no shelf life so don't expect to hear any half decent music for longer than 1 month or so.
its all quantity over quality.
not for nothing 50 still spit crazy on the mixtape tip but you gotta check for him.

listening to nerdy white people talk about rap is like stabbing yourself in the eye as slow as you can.

the new k-os album is incredible. Best i've heard all year. Less hip-hop than his last 2 albums but amazing none the less. You can check out the free preview here.

Mixtapes are where its at. Really gives you the best look aty an artists talent. One in particular is the Busta Rhymes New Crack City. The big bang- garbage, but the mix tape is the shiz. Rah Digga is killing it.
and Listen to Ghostafce before, now and in the future.
