This has nothing to do with energy transport in cells?
- lowimpakt0

no real list. apart from avoiding some of the yawnsome noise bands i've seen before!!!
not totally the music i listen to these days but certainly too many good bands to mention
ATP is always a buzz. although this new venue...... I'll miss the not so kitsch camber sands

Loading up the car now myself...
Did do an organised shopping trip yesterday but then couldn't remember if we had a non catering/catering shalet, so it turned out I bought beer, loo rolls, wine and a bag of apples... hmmm
- vespa0
that was fantastic
iggy pop!
sonic youth!!
gang of four!!!
- lofielectronic0
Was pretty darn good.
And the Gang of Four was an unexpected, for me, highlight.
Enjoyed the MC5 and guests allot too.
Have to say tho, probably the 'least enjoyable' ATP I've been too, been to five or six now.
The layout of the venues with stages in odd places - specifically the main stage, the soulless shopping mall type concourse linking everything, the que's, the fact you'd leave a half empty stage only to find a big que outside not being let in, Not being allowed to wander from one band to the next without finishing your drink, and then walking to the next venue only to not get in, the lack of focus for after hours activities... hmm.
Not to say it wasn't great and a whole lot of fun, and the accommodation was much improved on Camber Sands, which I think was needed. But, having been, I'd so rather they went back to Camber...
I probably only saw half the bands I wanted due to the various issues above and it just seemed to lack the intimacy of the ATPs before. I'm sure some of the issues above will be sorted, but I'm not sure if enough can be done.
The April 07 Dirty Three ATP has yet another fantastic line up, and I'm tempted, but I know if it was at the Camber venue, I'd probably be booking it about now...

i thought the location was nice n kitsch but yea also the crowd was kinda introverted. hardly anyone spoke to anyone else. the male to female ratio was like 10 to 1!
i thought it was pretty cool that all the bands played extra gigs cos of the problems people had getting in.
we queued for hours to see gang of four and only got in for the last track, to hell with poverty, but then they played an extra set after sonic youth and i was right at the front, BRILLIANT!
we're recording with andy gill (GO4 guitarist/producer) at the end of the month, i'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- lofielectronic0
Yeah, was great of so many of the bands to play again, Was the Post sonic youth set I caught of the Gang of four also. They passed my by somehow but picked up a cd of thiers today. Big congrats on that anyhow.

'hardly anyone spoke to anyone else. the male to female ratio was like 10 to 1!'
Yeah, was at the Devendra Banhart | Mudhoney | Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show earlier in the year and that seemed 60/40 the other way.
Which was nice.
