Can't believe this is still up there. I think some of their stuff harks back to a certain low-fi (glory in shitness of production style) so I don't think this comes off that well overall - they've been doing a bit of that for a while but if you check out their Jetta Timbales spot off their site of view their live action work I think it's apparent that they accept 'motion graphics' for what it is - shit, no-brain, eye candy whatever...that's why ad agencies don't profess to be motion graphic designers (a shit term anyhow)! But to Logan's credit if you check them out in depth they make this distinction. This reel is for the eye candy lovers who want to debate this type of stuff anyway. Their probably pissing themselves about this whilst they prepare to meet Wieden and Kennedy or Fallon to direct their next pure live action spot. Logan are a class above the majority of titwank shops.

I likened them to 2advanced because it fits perfectly in this case. Same story, different medium. A bunch of kids get impressed by some flashing shit purely born out of their own ignorance and lack of taste, and then defend the work in order to defend their own ineptitude when it comes to actually judging work of this nature. Guess what, it's not my fault you don't know shit from apple butter when it comes to design.
The work on the Logan reel is crap. There are no solid concepts, there is nothing original graphically, and there is nothing beautiful in it. All of it could be bumpers for Comedy Central when it wants to promote some "Mind of Mencia" or similarly crap show on the 3am slots.
And it's the exact same story as 2advanced. OMG GUYS WHO CARES IF THEY'RE TRENDWHORES AND BORING, THEY MAKE MONIES, STFU AND STOP HATIN'!

keep it mind there is a difference between a visual concept and a concept. logan is a production house if you wanna bitch about the concept call the ad company..ok...
besides..GT1 do you know how long logan is around? they where actually originators of many of the styles you see today...last post from me.

I don't know why half of you people are complaining about a lack of 'concept'. Have you guys even seen the whole spots that they've done?
Certainly a lot of their work includes music videos, and spots that are more about pushing a 'street style', than having a concept.
Seems like a lot of you don't do any motion work, and I don't think it's fair for anyone to criticize these guys so harshly --at least not in that way.
