Hi all,

can you please take a look at my CV and let me know your thoughts, whats good whats bad, what needs adding, taking away etc.
Cheers

probably should work in b&w, which this doesn't.. it seems a bit complex for a CV as well... a good CV should speak for itself and not have to resort of design chicanery... there's like what 3-4 type sizes being used, but not much hierarchy.... simplify to start...

just post yours snuggs..

Hmm. It's looks ok, but I would remove the GCSE's - no one's interested in what you did at school.
I would also add small outlines of your roles at the various places rather than just listing them.

it's alright, i like the simplicity of it. you need to look at the words on the left hand side, the profile bit. You have broken up a word in there. it's these kinds of things that make a difference.
Everythings range left apart from your contact details. i'd range them left as well. even though it might mean moving some stuff around a bit.
Just read your profile again and it needs to read a little better. just read it out a few times to yourself. does it read right?
Apart from that it's alright, not amazing, but good enough. with some solid work attached as well you should get some interviews.
good luck

not bad.
few things...
layout, you might want to move that 'about' paragraph to the left, logo to the right with address below. i'd also move the 'experience' section above 'education' and drop the skills matrix, a sentence will do.content, i'd expand the 'experience' section to include your role, what you did, clients you worked for...etc
looks good and works well with your website (in terms of identity, colour...etc)
- mr_snuggles0
er, not my most recent one, but you get the idear..

get rid of that yellow/amber colour, it won't always print so well even on a laser and is hard to read (most creative directors are blind).
Any other interesting personal information? Hobbies? Interests? You're not a machine right? You're a creative individual who deserves an interview/job.

Cheers for the comments guys. Ill get on with it and keep u posted.
thanks again

i apreciate the effort you put into designing it, but i agree that it may be too designed. granted, you're a designer and you want them to know that, but your "resume" should be easy to read with no distractions from content.
let your graphics speak for itself in your portfolio.the two things i get from a resume thats over-designed are this:
1. the designer in question lacks confidence in his/her own skill, thereby over-compensating by over=designing their cv
or
2: the designer in question doesn't give a rats ass about their resume because they have too much work on their plate as is therefore they throw together a resume for someone who has asked for one.thats my 2 cents.

Hey bud, I know you are trying to keep it consistent with the site, but honestly, the drop shadows, and the different length of bars for headers as well as the skil chart at the bottom just kind of run into eachother, dont worry about making your CV too designed, your site will sell you, keep it simple, in my opinion at least, good luck man

mister snuggles, i want to eat your cv

Are there actually any jobs going in Hudds? I've looked quite a bit and there doesn't seem to be much at the moment.
- mr_snuggles0
what about the Attik? Aren't they in huddersfield? I know they were looking a couple months ago...
