You mean ascii codes? If so, you could take a chart like this .. http://www.killersites.com/webDe… .. and chop out the relevant section, then use your ALT + ### to shortcut it, if you're on PC?
Presumably there's a Mac equivalent.

opn in text editor and add this -
Just after the tag.
Blamo! You can now embed all French characters.
