I've been wanting to improve my photography skills and technical understanding for a while now. Can anyone recommend any good books/websites/resources?
thanks in advance :)

Good for basic digital workflow if you're new to it:

Wouldn't buy a book that just focusses on PS CS2. After all, CS3 is coming and maybe you will use Aperture instead.
Look for books on the general understanding of photography as a whole, like exposure, depth of field, shutterspeed, RAW files, RAW conversion, editing and printing.

The morgue files has some pretty good "classes" online, for free.
They'll walk you through most of the topics that Crowel mentioned.

cool, i'll check out those classes, I'm less interested in the digital workflow side of things as i'm ok there, but more on the basics of light depth of field, lenses, etc. thanks guys :)
