yes there is sex but after...
here is a short film i shot a few months ago and only now it got back from the editors -- final cut:
http://patrykrebisz.com/nelson/n…(i was director of photography on this one)

shot well but the writing etc... hmmm?
- rasko40
what have I learned from that?
'nice' lighting, looks professional, some 'nice' shots, though I found the whole thing rather yuppyish and pretentious, soulless, poorly acted, poorly written and all in all pointless. And boy is it slow.

based on the reviews, i'll pass.

and yes the sex seemed 'simulated'
- morilla2
i want the 3 minutes of my life back before i quit watching it.

my simulated review to follow
.
Now we're even.

i think you guys are a bit too hard on the writter/director. I think the acting was spectacular, and "poorly written" is definatly not the best descripti -- normally i wouldn't defend people i work with as many of the directors are "less then stellar" but here i think he did a good piece that reminds me of Antonioni's "L'Eclisse."

It looked great pr2. Did you digital and convert to B&W in post?
I found the story to be a little slow, but I can see the comparison to Antonioni. Just a simple, subtle story. I thought actors did a fine job too.
Nice work.

the camera angles are nice. i like the angle of the part where he opened the door and looking at her...

Careful, lads. He whipped out an Antonioni reference.
;)I thought the actors were great, I particularly like him. Felt like an earnest guy doing an earnest job at relating to his date. But what a crappy date.
I don't know. I guess I feel like I relate to this type of storyelling less and less.
I wouldn't say poorly written at all either. But it doesn't resonate with me very either. Honestly, I'd rather watch Antonioni.
Beautifully shot, as usual.

how long is it? i tried to watch but it looked like it'll be a while

...I agree that this kind of material isn't best suited for the internet when we want it fast and we want it funny, now! Still from time to time when in a mood i like movies like that -- ANtonioni reference came as the second day of shooting i watched "L'Eclisse" and whole opening scene where 2 people are breaking up for 10 minutes reminded me of this production.

I thought it was beautifully shot.
Was that Mr. Dinky?

it's a clean tight piece, nice straight shots and some damn good lighting. I can see what they might of been trying to do but it all did seem vary between stiff to dull to slightly eary. The girl was by far the best in the piece and honestly, your strong work probably saved the whole project. I could see this in lot's of film festivals and it might even get some recognition as well... great stuff!!

christ, I get the feeling I have seen this before. Sorry pr2 not much positive feedback from me I just plain didn't like it :(

(Dec 18 06, 12:37)wtf?

I watched the whole thing - it wasnt that bad...I think the slower pacing was intentional to provide suspense in relation to the sexual tension taking place. Who says things on the internet have to be fast and in your face 100% of the time?

pr2, i love slow aqnd atmospheric stuff for a while.
there are some movies out there that have this quality and aren't always being applauded for their narrative quality.
i guess this is just for a minority.
a minority with a special taste nonetheless.
