Hi Guys,
I have a client who has seen design for a website which use the font avant garde as the body copy, and when the site has been produced it has obvioulsy used browser default fonts(arial). Is there any way of having a different font, or some way of having the font embedded?
any help on this would be great.
Cheers
D

you can do that swap image for flash thing for headings... wouldn't advise it for bodycopy though

and there is no other way possible? even with JS or anything?

sifr is as close you'll get to accessable body fonts but please have a read through the "why you shouldn't use sifr for body copy" bit on mike industries website.

you can embed a font in a page, but you have to create an .eot file and it only works in *surprise* IE

No, you're screwed.

buy the font, use it

use century gothic it's a bastardized version of avante garde. most systems have it, comes free with microsoft apps. you can have arial/alternate as a secondary.
