how do you rotate guides to a certain angle?

[show hide guides]in the "view" menu scroll down to "Guides" and toggle that level out aand you will see the "unlock guides" in there...if your guides are within a locked visible layer then unlock that layer and unlock the guides and then rotate them and them lock them again.

while that is correct and very true, I'm already familiar with V-H guides, I just needed to know how to rotate them, I can't find that option on illy (rotate them w exact degrees that is)

can you create a path and just make that into a guide?

use the line segment tool "\" just above the "return key" and open the dialog box for that tool and set the angle you wish to make the path, then turn that path into a guide click [apple + 5] to make the path into a guide.

just unlock guides and select it with arrow as you would any other object.

hortons is the easiest way yes do it that way...use the "white arrow tool [a]"
