anyone have a way to search for duplicate fields in other rows? i don't know all of the duplicate entries and instead of going through one by one, is there an easier way to say something like if 2 entries have phone numbers that match or addresses or something, delete 1?

well, there is a DISTINCT and UNIQUE, so i wonder if you could use NOT DISTINCT?
otherwise you could request the DISTINCT rows, and then us the result of that to select every row that isnt in that list.

heavyt said it.

you could use select distinct to create a temp table and repopulate the original
CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE unique_phone AS SELECT DISTINCT phone FROM phone_table

I just did it recently in SQL but don't recall exactly how.
There are a few ways to do it.:
