you know, i was wondering about that when i first started browsing through. it would be pretty easy to set up because it's a single-view state. i have deep linking and back button working on my site. drop an email if you want a hand with anything.

what exactly does "deep linking" mean?
I really don't know.
- bcline0
Tim, are you going to use SWF address - http://www.asual.com/swfaddress/… for the deep linking? It seems like the easiest option these days. Diggin' the new stuff!

swfAddress works great...
... not as great as spent's work...
... but it's damned great and gets the job done!

I'm guessing Deep Linking is when you can link directly to something that is deep within a flash site? Something in particular you'd like to be able to have a direct link to?
- bcline0
No, def. not as cool as spent2000's work. But SWF address is still pretty cool, I've played around with it a touch, and it seemed pretty easy to work with.

exactly pope...
... i put it to work for the first time only a couple of weeks ago... works like a charm.
Also... your back and forward browser buttons work. :)

so is it like dropping an anchor inside of flash er?
- cosmo0
I like that site.
- timajick0
I don't get it.

yeah deep linking is being able to type in / link to a URL that will go to any given section or piece of content within a flash file right as it loads up.

a more important aspect of swfaddress is allowing someone to navigate from home to deep within a flash site, then bookmark to return to that page, and enable the back/forward browser buttons. deep linking as strictly defined has always been quite trivial with flash

word up to that
