I'm trying to think of a decent domain name for a website I want to put together... just so I've got a decent web presence, not 100% sure what I'm gonna post up on it, probably music mainly (I DJ)... I don't have a DJ name so can't use that...
... my name is Steve Ranford, feel free to suggest some/take the piss etc...
:)

I kinda thought about steveranford.com, dunno whether it's a better idea to use a nickname or a pseudoname... but I don't really have any nicknames.
Some of my friends sometimes call me Raniator, but that is real gay. And I don't like humanmale anymore...

Also... and you'll have to bare with me on this... because I haven't registered a domain before...
Is it common pay extra for email address for your chosen domain ON TOP of webspace?
My ISP (Freedom2Surf) wants me to pay £24 for webspace and all that stuff and ANOTHER £24 for email... is that shit?

That is bologna.

NOTE: That is per year, not monthly...
Still shit?

I'm also beginning to realize I'm probably not going to recoup my investment.

I'd say, stick with your real name.
- HumanMale0
Thanks Jaline... I'm beginning to think that will be the best way.

I'm mainly saying that because then if you ever get a DJ name or change your DJ name it won't be a big deal because your real name (I'm guessing) won't change.
I'm really indecisive so, for me, going with my real name was a good decision.

look around, hosting should always come with email accounts. And purchase your domain on your own. Godaddy.com has always been good to me. $10/yr or less if you can find a coupon code... and you can always find a code.
I'm not sure what a good host for the UK is, but i'm sure someone can recommend someone
