Any guidance on creating HTML emails folks? Most tutorials say just paste your code into the email client and send... but this doesn't seem to work - what am I missing.
I'm using Mac Mail to send.
Thanks

Where do you start....
Use tables for structure.
Don't send images
Make sure you have a opt out option
Make sure they have granted you permisson/signed up to your email.
Don't use Mail to send use a third party solution like Campaign Monitor or Mail Chimp. Very easy to use and has loads of documentation on best practice, bugs, quirks and other shite (CM being more indepth)

To start with build it in your favourite WYSIWYG editor.
Or just pay me to do it ;)

1. Make an html Page
2. go to it
3. hit command + Isend.
or.. go under File > Send Page in Safari..
Thats the easiest way I found to do it in mac mail... (if you are using Safari...)

you can use images, just make sure you use absolute paths.

(Mar 29 07, 03:26)some email clients won't display images... yahoo mail always takes your inline images and makes them attachments

(Mar 29 07, 03:05)it should have said: "Mail Contents of this Page" (apple + I). this works to send the html as an email, if using Safari.

Thanks Mad- I phrased that wrong.. (no coffee yet..)
.. I had to do a real quick html email for work, so I just made and html page, uploaded it, bookmarked it and used the Command + I in safari to send it..
worked well, and it was quick, easy and free..
