Where does time go?
- Point50
all I even know about that band is that video about Teen Spirit and there were some cheerleaders in it I think.

(Apr 5 07, 09:57)overrated? I think not. You have to put it in context. At that moment. I'm guessing you weren't listening to Nirvana at the turn of the 90's...

(Apr 5 07, 09:53)#$%^&*!!! what?!!
dude, Lithium is awesome. all their albums rock.
you could go down the line of any band that has a root in rock, punk, or even indie/brit pop (whatever you call it) since them and they will all reference them as a very large influence.
now, as much as i am a fan of Nirvana, if we were talking about the Pixies, this goes to an entire different level....
- barbtastic0
haha Jaline was like 5 when i was rawking this 9th-grade-style
:D
- barbtastic0
yes, lets talk about the pixies!!!

I like his music....but he and his music was hailed more for and after his death. His band didn't have that much music out at the time of his death, and therefore it is strange to just claim that he was one of the greatest artists ever.
I always think about what he'd be doing right now.
It is subjective in a way too...
Anyway, obviously I never started listening to his music until a few years ago (since I was like 6 when he died), so most of you have a better idea of the time.

the pixies are the greatest rock band ever.
"we tried very, very hard to not sound like a cover band of the Pixies from the beginning. They are the best."
