thoughts?
("Mark Burnett, the producer who popularized reality television (including Survivor and The Apprentice), and Internet social network MySpace will unveil a new reality TV and Internet series that aims to groom one young politician or community leader to represent young America.")

not the best use of the word 'groom' there.

i wrote a blog on my myspace page about this exact kind of thing more than a year ago!!
it was the concept (in uk) of putting together a NEW political party that was more in touch with the youth and helping the world be a "better place" rather than a party being ran by old b*stards interested in money and shagging their P.A's.
using myspace to build up a following in the same way that lilly allen and the arctic monkeys etc have done.
i think it could be done, if it was done right. not sure that a tv show should be the basis of it though.
theres a potential for an underground uprising though if those lazy kids stopped sitting about in their bedrooms on myspace taking photos of their cleavages.

i can clearly see how NewsCorp would want top leverage this asset into an arena they already own.
