Basically, he knew that he had this rare form of tuberculosis, yet decided that he absolutely had to have his wedding and go on his honeymoon. So he tried to get around the American border by going through Canada and various other places, possibly infecting many, many passengers.
What an idiot.

"The man, a U.S. citizen living in the Atlanta area, boarded Air France Flight A385 to Paris on May 12. He returned to North America on May 24 on the Prague-Montreal flight, then drove from Montreal to the United States. He was then contacted by the CDC and checked into a hospital in New York. The man was already being tested for tuberculosis at the time he made his transatlantic flights, but he wasn't aware he had the XDR-TB strain."
But it actually has been confirmed that he knew what was going on. In order to avoid the no-fly list, he did all the above traveling. And he has an officer waiting outside his room so he can't get out now.

Shit. We can't go beat him up, because he might cough in our general direction.

When my grandfather was in the navy, he wanted to be an officer and make it a career. They told him he had TB, and I guess they were afraid that tons of people had it back then. He didn't have it at all.

(May 30 07, 07:03)I was wondering this myself. No one has mentioned her being infected though.

Having TB in Prague sounds like hell on Earth. Everyone has Whooping Cough there and is a potential vector.

i wonder why they don't mention his name, he must be rich.

she has apparently tested negative, as with some other people in his family.
he's a twat and is probably complaining that his civil liberties are being ignored since they have him under lock and key.

The freedom to live is the freedom to kill, just because i'm sick does not give the right to any foundation to make a specimen out of me inside a white room
Go that guy.
If he got me or my family sick, I would personally kill him though

and curiously enough, his father-in-law works as a microbiologist for the CDC, specifically researching tuberculosis.
