Ok so; I've been trying to get some sexual tool tips in a web2 stylie using javascript with png24s using alpha transparencies.
The problem I'm having is when i display the tool tip using js the transparency is displayed as solid black on the pngs in IE7. It works fine on FF, & safari but ie7 buggers me. I can get the pngs to display correctly when i place through on the page but not when i try to output it as a tool tip through js.
the pngs are displayed as bg images using css.
and one example of the techniques i tried is the bubble tool tips example here : http://web-graphics.com/mtarchiv…Im not concerned about IE6 at all as its for a web app. but i would like ot get it working with the sexy bg rather than a flat transparent gif.
Any ideas or do i need to explain it more.
p.s I have tried a css method but im having z-index issues and the tip doesn't move with the mouse. My js knowledge is limited so forgive on that front.
cheers

Trust me this is a world of pain, you're right. I have been doing CSS "sliding doors" nav for a site, but after a lot of grief I found out it doesn't work (the rollover that is)
Having said that - have you tried the BGSlieght.js script it maybe what you're looking for.

Just to let you guys know that i got this sorted.
the javascript was putting an opacity filter into the output code which was overidirng my transparency on the png.more importantly
filter: alpha(opacity=100);
+ pngs24 dont match on ie7... keep your eyes peeled :)cheers again.
