hi all,
really need your recommendations on electronic job bag/studio software for a studio of around 10-20 people. What do your current studios run? What are the pro's and cons of the software .etc Mac/Pc compatible? Server or Web based?
We've had a demo of Traffic and I've used ProAd before but wondered what else is out there.
I've seen Studiometry but not sure if this would support that many users .etc
Appreciate any feedback.
cheers.

thanks for the links. An online system seems like a good prospect.
Keep em coming.

i was actually serious- wtf is a job bag?
- tenpaces0
seriously? you've never heard that term before?
Maybe it's called something else in the US/Canada.
It's basically what it sounds like. Historically studios would have file/bag/envelope related to a project and keep all the related correspondence/proofs .etc in it. There are now obviously digital ways of doing this and we're trying to see what new systems are out there as ours is out of date.
Hope that helps.

gotcha.
i am pretty sure that is know as Project Management Software.

These might be worth looking into:

madirish - yes it's also called Project Management Software although I'm not sure that all systems include the time keeping and billing side of things as well.

A jobbie bag? Isn't that what you have to wear as a result of a colostomy?

(Jul 11 07, 00:29)i for one, would never consider PM work to stop at time keeping and billing. it goes WELL beyond those items (centralized asset management, versioning, white board messages, chat log storage, email, milestone markers, sign off's, documents.)
good luck with it- i think we have fairly significant differences in what we see as PM.
cheers!

I'm very aware of what PM involves thanks so I feel you may have misunderstood my point somewhat. My response was related to the fact that some of these packages DO NOT include the time keeping and billing aspects of PM. These aspects are things we are looking for alongside all the other features you listed such as asset management .etc
Hope that clears things up.
