really?
I tend to think the opposite. I don't think an organized Dem. group would do this. I don't see this sort of thing going over well with the "heartland" of America, religious types, or anyone really into 'traditional family values.'
IMHO
(*Disclaimer: Personally I don't give a shit about the video's impact. I still kinda like Obama.)

dude, you forget about something if you come up to any agencu and say that you created viral video that was seen overnight by 3 million people (the first video was) and thsu was talked about on every news outlet there is they will easily give you a contract to do their next viral campaign.

I have this feeling you are lying to us pr2...
- pr2-8
wtf man?
- harlequino0
No I'm not forgetting that at all. Someone making something like this to be 'noticed' as a viral marketer is a highly likely scenario. I am talking about the political possibilities. To shoot this takes a crew, casting, makeup, wardrobe. That all takes money. So it's purely interesting to find out where the money is. An up and coming prod comapny? Or a political interest?
Follow the money. That's how they got Nixon. :)

that song is atrocious and rancid.

yes, but you are are overthinking. To put together a show like this doesn't take more then a few thousand dollars. Probbaly too much for me to spend on a sily video but someone from marketing standpoint can easly see it as a huge door -opener.
- OSFA1
overthinking? how dare you!
This is the PVN ffs!
- pr2-8
OSFA, it's obviusly you never worked in film business half the time i don't even know what i'm shooting untill ast minute i'm on the set, and definatly more often then not i have no clue where money is coming from.
- you just started 5 years ago, you announced it here you moron, there’s a lot of guys here who work in the industryGuyFawkes
- harlequino0
Agreed. Not a huge stretch of the imagination at all.
But I don't think I am overthinking this at all. If it was someone trying to make a name for themselves, where is their name? Shouldn't it be all over it?Perhaps viral marketing is the new 'propaganda,' in a sense. I can also easily see a Republican interest wanting to cast a certain pall over the Obamam campaign throwing a couple grand at something like this too.

...i still think it will help DEms more then anything else.
- OSFA0
hey, I did a few adult 'documentaries' in my prime...
do you get paid cash?
- harlequino1
Possibly, but I find myself disagreeing, But who knows?
I am fully aware that you don't know specifically who you are working for, but I am curious of any vibe you picked up. Was everyone there an independent contractor, or was there a prod. company or agency presence? You probably don't but I am just curious.

pr, I am not trying to be an asshole, just wanted to know...
Make it up by posting the unedited videos, specially the pillow fight.
- pr2-8
i don't have access to the footage... and i think you will see the pillow fight in behind-the-scenes soon.
BTW, normally i would raise same questions you guys raise. For that matter if i though it's hurting Dems side i would never do it, this time though i didn't interact with the producer long enough to find out the real deal.

as I recall, this is part of a Pub Relations company project. working in the viral projects, they did another parody as well...

In any case, it's an interesting thought.
Hey who knows, maybe this will be the sort of thing that boosts him some more. Part of Kennedy's appeal in the 60's was the connection with younger people. Maybe this riffs on that sort of sensibility.

That girl will be in Playboy in less than a year...
