(Jul 26 07, 13:15)it's a vagina/computer combination. i've been told it's quite useful if you never intend to leave the house ;)

But with VAG-Com you can stay in the city and be happy. Hell, you can stay at home and be happy.

I'd drop the kids off at the pool in it

You're right! While I haven't owned the new RS4 (B7), a good friend has and it's absolutely brilliant. Miles ahead of the RS4 (B5) and RS6s I owned in terms of handling and rev-happiness.
I have never ever heard of the subframe weakening on any Audi to be honest, and my cars have mostly been extensively modded, too. You're not gonna take it off-road are you?? :)
The old RS6 only came as a sedan to the US, and the new one hasn't been launched yet. I would stay away from the old one out of warranty. It had problems with the Dynamic ride control and the gearbox among other things..
Buy the best car you can find and stay away from modded ones (do it yourself!) Repairs are not cheap and finding someone who knows about the car is difficult.
If the car is a clean car, go for it. The RS6 is a very rewarding everyday car. Not to mention you wont see yourself coming and going or feel lost in the sea of BMW's and MB's running around.. The people who are in the "know"... Know what the RS6 is..
Its stealthy super sedan that can run circles around most of the cars on the roads today......
With that said, I'd go for the new RS4. Absolutely brilliant car. That friend I was talking about earlier replaced his 06 Porsche 997S with one and he couldn't be happier.
Feel free to email me for more detailed stuff, I could go on all day, haha.

i can't afford one. so why discuss it.
If I could ever afford a car like that it would definitly be a Maserati Quattroporte. Now that's class.

correction: the new V8 is actually lighter than the previous TTV6.
this ain't yer 'amurican' V8 lady... ;)
kind of funny to hear about questions of sub-frame failures/re-welding. hell, what kind of car would you be coming from that would even have that as something to think about w/ Audi?
UrS fo' life.... ;)

Oh, Llyod.
