i have shown a similar one before, but i actually have time to print these now
are they good enough?
Avenir is the typeface.

hahaha i am going to write some nasty shit about Nathan Herald! Hope it gets picked up by Google!
j/k
Nice. Like the idea.

So I googled your name and came up with a Belgian miniature dildo site.
If you aren't selling dildos, you might want to re-think.

(Jul 26 07, 14:56)i dunno - is it good enough for you? you gotta sell yourself.

I got this

i like the idea, but i can see a perspective client reaching for the card for a phone # and bein like EFFIT
- -sputnik-0
that was my thought kerus. i wouldn't want a series of steps between my contact needing me and the phone ringing, or their email in my inbox
- kerus0
could you still pull off the google me concept with a phone nmber on the other side?
- horton0
i found you (and your wife's blog) on first google hit, but i still wouldn't do it.. unless you're a really big "idea" designer, with a very memorable personality to match.
otherwise your not saying anything about yourself and your work.

Seems kinda mean to make the people who want to get in touch do extra work for the sake of a stale joke when you could just print your info on the card. I guess you could add "look me up in the phone book" while you're at it.

I like the simplicity, but I don't get the communication.
- myobie0
i will be writing my phone number on there
i really wanted to have a simple card i can write on
is it too risky?
i come up ok on the first two pages (the first entry will always be most because of nathanherald.com which will be my blog and some more stuff after i get it done)
does the type look good?
- lvl_130
it seems pretentious. sorry.
the idea is good. it's very tongue in cheek, but still...
and as others have said, there may be risk involved with the whole google search and the sort.
the type looks fine, but damn if i actually paid attention to that after i read it (which i did not).
something a bit more subtle perhaps? or maybe just a bit more informative?

> i really wanted to have a simple card i can write on
thats what the backs of cards are for :)

just make a run of 100. the cost could be low. go for it. the type is clean. avenir is nice. i wouldn't do this as the idea isn't mine. good show. no need to rely on it as a main stay. just do it. sell it as was previously posted. having a variety of cards though, that may be my idea. :)
adding a phone number wouldn't hurt. just keep it clean like the rest.

The directive "google me" seems to be really beating the dead horse – why tell them? It sounds pretentious and patronizing.
I would also suggest that you go with your company name, or your name – no one wants to google two things to find you and figure out where/what/when is best between the hits.
I have a similar card, just my full name letterpressed on good stock. It works, people google and I don't get any problems.

well i got www.nathanherald.com/ on first place, but google works diffrent in parts of the world..

your wife's fit
- myobie0
yeah, i would def have another card with all info just in case, but not use it as much
did someone say that i should have my companies name on there?
i like it on one side and mine on the other...
i like the idea of making it just my name, that is my primary idea, but i added google me more for the humor (and it was suggested by a friend up here in dc)
looking at it without the google me, i am considering it
my thought, too, was to letter press them, but i just don't have time to reserve a press and i don't have room to store one right now
by next year i'll have one in house
