aren't you worried that your house could sink?

brilliant man that looks great :D you'll have a happy time there, find out how much one costs to buy and make sure it works all good and you can pitch up wherever you drop anchor.

That is so smart, I would love to live on a houseboat. I did live in Royal Oak for a bit, and there was a barge river running past the town where I lived, every once a week I would walk the barge route to go shopping, and it just was so good, because it felt like you where away from London completely and in the country side.
That roof looks good for a boat party. :)

(Aug 8 07, 16:06)Actually, given our recent flooding, the consensus opinion in England is probably that houses that float are quite a good thing.
- ethered0
now this is a great idea!
- Nairn0
Additionally, given the prospect of potential sea-level increases, floating houses may not be such a daft-sounding investment for a home.
The Dutch are certainly thinking more and more about this..

there was a dutch women on the telly last week, she sold her houseboat because she got scared by 'an inconvenient truth', she was told the cables of her boat might be too short, causing the boat to flip due to the rising sealevel......
- Nairn0
lol - yup, that's it - sell up and flee. Don't just get an electrician in.

that's what that evil gore does to poor uneducated people living in boats
