This is the most facinating discovery in 120 years
Salt water + radio frequencies = fuel
fuck you OPEC
http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?…

what will power the radio emitter thingy?........
- rafalski0
unless it's another attempt to revive "look around you", seems fantastic.
countries with large seashores become the world superpowers. landlocked ones, on the other hand, become poor..*shreds acceptance letter from Swiss immigration

There's a Chuck Norris banner in that page ffs.

chossy, its a new technology, like all new technology it takes time to devellop,
its like saying, you don't need gas to produce biodesel, for the moment you need it as a part of the process, but something tells me, that in a few years will be running on water
*moving to england*

well impressive!
however, watch a petroleum company buy the rights then never ever go ahead with it.
oh, ok maybe they may when the worlds oil runs out and we have polluted this world way past the point of no return.
- BaskerviIle0
bullshit, using a highly electrically powered machine to create radiowaves which in turn create a small amount heat and light is not a breakthrough
- 23kon0
i do have two questions .....
what is powering the thing creating the radio waves?
which came first - the chicken or the egg?
- BaskerviIle0
"It takes more electricity to split the water into hydrogen and oxygen than you get back in energy by burning the hydrogen and oxygen to recreate water and get the heat. So there is no new 'source' of power, since you are just converting electricity into a lesser amount of energy. You could get more heat energy out of electricity by running it through a blow dryer and THAT is not considered a 'new' energy source."

This quote is not saltwater thingy related, is it Baskerville? Is it from a hydrogen-oxygen engine article?
Are there any early radio-saltwater efficiency calculations out there?
- kelpie0
has everybody in here read the whole article, right down to the bottom?
- Drno0
its funny because last time i checked, they weren't anyone producing salt water fuel.
i remember 10 years ago, people said electric cars will never make it, because it takes more energy creating the cells than they give out at the end,
now we can say the contrary,
anyone who thinks a thing can't be made because it takes too much power is wrong, because all the "green" technologies produced today need another source of energy to be made.
biodiesel, solar cells, car cells, wind turbines, ... , all need to be make using traditional metods,
so don't give me that "what is powering the thing creating the radio waves?"
because its the way it is, as long as we won't find the perfect energy source, will be stuck saying the same ol' bs
- Drno0
i don't think so kelpie
- kelpie0
Drno; solar cells, turbines etc take their greater power from the sun or the wind or the waves or whatever, radio wave emitters take their extra power from the mains supply. that's not to say it'll never become a viable fuel just that there's a pretty major shortfall in the theory so far.
here's hoping though, right enough
- rafalski0
or, even if turns out to be totally inefficient, this discovery could lead to another inventions.. right?
- chossy0
your wrong drno I read the whole thing, hence me pointing out what powers the radio frequency thingy.
I can just picture drno sitting there acting all aloof
'I don't think so Kelpie'
your a dick drno and your a bigger dick Kelpie for saying 'do you think anyone read the whole article'
ye pair of dicks.
- Drno0
ahahah 2 dicks up ;)
- kelpie0
I was on your side, ya radge dick
- chossy0
so fuck your a dick
who cares my marshmallo powered lawn mover is the sheeeeeeisse !!
- kelpie0
only a dick would put marshmallows in a lawnmower.
