I submitted these as a feed at qbn, but no such luck - thought I'd try here.
This is one batch of preliminary concepts I've submitted (I realize there may be some kerning issues, among others) but wanted opinions on the mark, type choice, or anything else.
This is for a local methodist church. They said they needed to bring an I.D. to a morning service that had waning attendance; they've named the service "connection".
I submitted these prelims 2 weeks ago and have not heard from them, sent them a nice email asking for their input. I hope they aren't trying to ignore me.

Looks a bit like "love connection."
I get the dogwood thing, but you need to explore more concepts. a flower in conjunction w/ "connection" makes me think of a Christian dating service.
I like the font. I like the original ligature.
Try it with upper case "C" as an options.
Did you really just show them a handful of variations on one concept?
Call them. Don't email them again. A lot of church people get so many emails that they only answer emergencies or very pertinent queries.

though I think of sex with those logos.
Kinda reminds me of madonna and her "erotic" days, or prince and enigma.

thanks for taking a look everyone!
gramme - I presented 4 preliminary concepts that were different directions - two were sans typeface, another used a tree to form the letter "T" in which the limbs stretched over the word a bit. I want to develop that into a stronger option, but they got the idea from the prelims. I was waiting for their input and a direction.
I do really like the original ligature.
I hadn't made the dating connection, but i will now - every time I see it. awesome
I thought it was funny that during the bulk of development one night, Sin City was on TV in the background, seemed like odd background noise to work on a church logo.
thanks again!!

Feels less like a logo, more like a piece of decoration.

I like the last one the best combined.

I reckon if you lose the flower it'll feel a lot more mature – perhaps try with a cap 'C'?
Or make a more stylised flower, more graphic?
- bulletfactory0
The Cap 'C' will definitely be something to try - I wanted to allow them to use either element separately, or combined in a pre-determined position.
I'll also try some more development on the flower, it may just not be sufficiently developed yet.
As I accepted this job for under a grand, further development is purely self motivated.
You guys are awesome thanks for your input!

A grand?
I'm undercharging :(

unter.
Let's start ubercharging, BF.
£20k, please, guv.
- gramme0
$1k US dollars is peanuts for a logo.
I too have done greatly discounted work for friends & for my church, but usually charge at least $1500 US for a logo, and that's if it's a small organization...larger companies, the cost could get all the way up to $20k.

Oops, I thought BF was in the UK.
