Ive almost been at my current job a year and I know my review is coming soon. I took the job for a pay that was just under what I was previously making for a few reasons mainly because I enjoy my currently job 200% more than my previous.
But the question is when offered a raise how do you ask for what you know your worth without sounding greedy ? Where I work I have been told countless times by my bosses how happy they are to have me on board and how many clients are thrilled with the work that I do for them. But Im worried my pay raise will probably only put me back to where I was at my previous job before coming onboard here.
Any tricks / tactics that seem to work ?

Tell them what you've told us... they'll be happy that you're happy in the job, and a bit extra might not stretch them too much...
...Hmm do I live in an unrealistic world?

tell them what you want, if they say no look for another job.

ask for at least twice of what you actually want, then haggle down to the amount you want.
i'e if you want an extra 10k, ask for 20 and then accept 10.

I've seen this happen a few times: Employee gets job offer elsewhere. Current employer makes a counter offer. Employee stays for more money.
