yea those two films are easily the best things i've seen in a loooong time

All the 14 year old tossers in the cinema giggled nervously at the end - as if they didn't know how to deal with an 'unconventional' ending not tied up in a pretty little bow.

saw it yesterday.
impressive movie. yet i think i need to read the book, as the end was indeed confusing, and the ratio voilence/dialogue made it hard for my mind to see the message.
good acting. especially that villain, he's absolutely a fantastic actor. i saw him in a leading role in a spanish film recently which was almost even more impressive in terms of his acting skills. he's really one of the most gifted actors i have seen recently, to be honest.

what is the "book" of which you speak? also please define "read".

a few people i know thought it was boring, i thought it was ridiculously good. chigurh is one of my new favorite movie villains.

I loved it. My wife wants to see it again. I don't know how you couldn't love it.

I know a lot of people who wouldn't have the patience or the stomach for this film.

I see I already wrote something similar above. I was just responding to jfletcher (playing a bit of a devil's advocate). So you can just ignore my post, if you haven't already.

so many things, even apart from the end, raised questions. who was woody working for? i guess i missed a small detail there. and why did the cop visit the old guy in the trailer?
i know i am shit with riddles though. that's why they turn me off!

anyway, next stop: there will be blood.
i'd like to know what you think about this one.
guess i have to use filter for this one.- There is a thread about There Will Be Blood.JerseyRaindog

brilliant, best film I've seen in a long while. Think its an acquired taste, as for me, I'm into this shit, however my missis hated it. Return to form, very like Blood Simple. WIll win Big Oscars, Don't read review before going to see it, will give it all away.

It's good. People always complain about how much the ending sucks, but I wish they would DO SOME RESEARCH first/after, or find out why it's like that. Especially in podcasts. It bothers me when the hosts don't do their research first and know what they are talking about before saying something is crap.
- hahaha, thats why I say, "DONT READ REVIEWS!", unfortunately I did before seeing it and heard about this unorthodox ending.. so can kinda expecting it before you seen it, if you know what I mean. Liked it though the more I think about it.Bullitt

well said. anybody who doesn't like this film is a fucking trog
- Jaline0
Some people won't like it for the violence, and, at times, the slow movement.
