- Do it!nb
- it is your work, right?
// kiddingdetritus - I think Georges made a thread for sharing creative writing not long ago. But I'd like to read something here if it wasn't too long.monospaced

Been a little distant from the QBN lately,
I'm working on a new install and made lots of improvements to my previous wall designThe new model is now flexible and can be adapted to any pixel density, it also moves when connected to servos and can cover any surfaces,
client is happy, G is happy, everyone is happy
project code name: Bones
- A lot of peeps would kill for your job. Paid to make stuff. I mean we all make stuff but you make 'real' stuff. Enjoy.fadein11
- Thanks man, I worked really fuckn hard to get where I am, hopefully they will keep on trusting my insights :)GeorgesII
- curious, what is your client doing with Bones?Gnash
- @Gnash; 12mt curved wall but it could be used on a backpack for bicycle night rides for example, etc etcGeorgesII
- nice - do you keep a piece of the action?Gnash
- There's a DIY hack/electronics group here in Leeds and you inspire me to get involved with this stuff. Yet to do it though as I'm always busyIanbolton

This is a soft launch of a hat I've been working on as a side project over the past year. It's taken a while to get the scalability figured out along with hardware suppliers. I make the letters by hand using a cast/mold process and then refinishing them. Check out http://www.nightmarkeroriginals.… and let me know what you think. I am going to be doing professional product shots in the next week or so ...

- So, you're tracing a photo with pixels? Or drawing from scratch? how does this work?dopepope
- Sup up wit da one whitey?********
- nice, slopes.Gnash
- Here are some techniques I use:
1.use nearest neighbor when scaling
2.Download a 16bit color palette
3.use muliple adjustmen layers of !00% tintatslopes - 4.to get a symetrical look, cut the photo in half, and duplicate
5.Don't use photos over 500 pixels
6. use index color to define colors
7.use a wacom tabletatslopes

- did you trace one of your animations?imbecile
- Very cooldopepope
- I did trace this. Rendered out the frames from a model i made, printed, traced, scanned and re-compiled. Probably gonna play around with this technique more.baseline_shift
- great result. i've done a few things similarly in the past, really needing to revisit with my wacom. have you played with sketch & toon rendering in c4d?imbecile
- Thanks! Only played with sketch and toon a bit, don't know much about it. Seems like there are tons of cool features though.baseline_shift
- search "sketch" on http://greyscalegori…
some great inspiration in there. thanks for posting, cool stuffimbecile - i imagine your 3d process takes a lot of the timing guesswork out of itscarabin

This is pure nerdgasm and I'm quite proud of it,
What you are looking at is a pocket webserver, run on a 5v and can finally run CSS boilerplate,
when booted it acts as a captive portal (like the one you see at McDonald, etc),
you can broadcast anything you want the world to see in a range of 20 mt (I'm laughing because I can already see how to misuse this tech eheheh)- ElaborateHayoth
