Starting to experiment with these little youtube VR vids. Use chrome and turn it up to 4k for best results.
- what'd you make this on? it's cool. reminds me of an old game called Darwinia...sarahfailin
- this was made with c4d and AE.baseline_shift
- this is great, i love the sphere/texture bake camera you did!feel
- hey baseline did you use native c4d stereo cam or vray?where_am_i
- would be good to know what you used for the 360 in cinema4d and any good tutorials you watched...?broxybluenose
- did you use the cv vr cam?where_am_i
- Nah, I'm oldschool... still on R12 so I baked this all off a reflective sphere. Archaic, I need to upgrade my shit...baseline_shift
- i wonder if R18 has built in VR cameras at all...baseline_shift
- dont think so but you can get plugin called cv vr cam. Other wise yeah still have to bake the scene on spherewhere_am_i
- i want to try get plugin for new music vid but its pricey (have to subscribe to cineversity)where_am_i

Decided to take the minimalistic approach to the latest 10 minute images. I've grown up with so much minimalistic design that I've grown a bit tired of it, guess thats why so many of the other images are somewhat flashy/colorful.
http://build-destroy.com/project…
https://www.instagram.com/morten…- you should try to make stuff in 6 minutes!********
- Some images are done in less than 10. Often the second and third images as the process is down, for example the previous 3 images (bottom of page 342).Nutter
- uh huh. fascinating. why not try quality over time? Throw enough shit at the wall and some of it will stickButMakeNoMistak... youre walls still covered in shit.********
- Thanks for the lovely metaphor, guess its a different point of view. They're experiments, don't get your knickers in a twist.Nutter
- not my metaphor but seemed relevant. the question is your motive to show such rapid experiments? why not quality until you do something worth sharing?********
- I get personal experiments, but they're "personal" and for private growth knowing alot are shit. Why display that publicly? Motivation?********
- i mean if i did it. id probably phrase it like look at this shit i didnt care about as random experimental content for self promotion. social abhors a vacuum********
- For me its a way to add some kind of deadline and keep at it. I find sticking it in a drawer is demotivating, and perhaps someone will like it, sorry you don't.Nutter
- hmm sounds like you are saying the desire for someone to like it is what gives you motivation? id understand that better if you just added a please like my shit********
- No, it helps but its not the main reason. I just agree with the first paragraf here and this is my own way to do it: https://stupid-studi…Nutter
- jesus - no pleasing some people - negative twit. keep it up - always nice to see.fadein11
- Thanks fadein11Nutter

- Nice!********
- Not enough face chewing and eyelid rolling at that festival though********
- I had to edit out all the face chewing and illegal border crossingsmoldero
- nice moldie ... you wearing steadycam gear or just handheld in the slow tracking shots?Ramanisky2
- that tracking was a DJI Osmo, tip on doing that though, DONT RUN! footage ended up jittery as shit, I spent more time trying to repair that than anything elsemoldero
- just slow, steady walk, gotchaRamanisky2
- what was this all shot with?Ramanisky2
- Black Magic Cinema camera & DJI Osmo
I didnt have an EVF for the BMCC at the time, so it was really hard to see the screen in the hard sun, I had to trash mostmoldero - of the good footage because it was slightly out of focus, that suckedmoldero
- ahhh yes, a buddy of mine pointed out those cameras to me before, for the price the final results look greatRamanisky2
- their pretty good color/range wise, but their not ergonomic at all, really hard to work with handheld, I put in more $ than the camera itself for rigsmoldero
- to counter thatmoldero

sorry long post, I designed some popsicle molds this weekend. My main inspiration came from Arthurian legends and the manga Bersek.
It was a cool weekend project and if you know anyone in the niche market of sword shaped popsicle, let me know ehehhe
Idea:
first design:
sizing and correctionssecond draft:
stand finished, still plenty of mistakesfinal design:
redesigned the stick so you can add alcohol in the little container before the juice is fully frozen :)-
- How weird—I was just last night sketching out popsicle moulds to cut in metal over the next month or so—i sincerely hope you're not copying my new MasterPlan!detritus
- Have you gradiated the internal structure to facilitate release? That'd be my main concern with an extrusion printed mould.detritus
- ahaha so, are you saying there's a market out there for popsicle molds ehhehe, but yeah, even with this very high .35 layer height, it still pops out quiteGeorgesII
- easily, I'm pretty sure if I push it lower, it will just slide out with no problem, I had more problem with the stick, plastic isn't wood so it tended to breakGeorgesII
- Ah,sorry—I meant the 'release' of the frozen lolly itself—have you tried it out yet? I don't suppose that Carbon Fibre filament would be any use for your stick?detritus
- I have the same problem with acrylic—laser cut it too thin and it snaps with gay abandon. Makes it useless in any practical sense for that sort of thing.detritus
- What no pictures of the lollies!?********
- @detritus, yep, made me realize how wood is unbeatable in the popsicle field eheh @set, will post tomorrow :)GeorgesII
- Careful you are using food grade non-toxic plastics! :Dbaseline_shift
- ^
YOLO!!!! :) but for real,
I'll probably reprint them in PLA

A boardgame site called Shut up & Sit Down ( https://www.shutupandsitdown.com… ) held a t-shirt competition and I decided to join in for fun.
They often use a pear for size reference, so I used that and mixed it with Star Wars. So instead of a Death Star there is the Death Pear.
The three t-shirts that gets the most votes are made. You can see them all on in this Facebook gallery: https://www.facebook.com/shutups…
The three designs that gets the most likes are made. I doubt mine will make the cut though as some already have lots more votes. It was a fun distraction to make though.

Not sure if this qualifies as "work"
But I was in Seoul a month ago, filming around the city.. and I've made this edit with the images I captured.

- What do you call that noise effect/texture on 3D?HAYZ1LLLA
- Noise. I typically add some to the diffusion channel and more again in post.baseline_shift

Three latest experiments.
1. Had a go at The Designers Republic/Wipeout styled team logos.
2. Triangular grid and turned individual triangle to make new paterns.
3. Gradients and odd typography.http://build-destroy.com/project…

- Nice - I've recently finished cutting some stencils for someone who did a really good job spraying that logo here in LDN.detritus
- cool - what was your role?fadein11
- Designer: Composited and adapted the KV's to fit the space, designed the lock ups and all the type on the last image.sinjun
- Nice work @sinjun, I've been noticing this campaign all around london.BaskerviIle

- Fabricio all my respect. It's beautifulsted
- cant even imagine the tons of keyframes involved ... a lot of thought and detail here.Ramanisky2
- This is fantastic.CyBrainX
- Ramanisky2, 30 frames. He said it in his post ;)Bennn
- Excellent work!MrT
- Bennn, not total amount of frames ...
keyframing each individual piece of imagery within ... assuming he created this in After Effects.Ramanisky2 - Fabricio .. was this done in After Effects or ToonBoom?? or something else.Ramanisky2
- Wow guys! Haha, what an amazing response, thank you so much :)Fabricio
- Ramanisky, I animated on Adobe Animate CC, and exported the PNG's to After Effects, and added texture and treated a bit the colour there.Fabricio
- And you were right, it has 30 frames of duration, but in total there are around 500 individually drawn frames to compose everything, frame by frame.Fabricio
- But they were simple animations, each one of them, so it didnt take super long.Fabricio
- never used Adobe Animate CC before, now I see its exactly like Flash which I also haven't used in over 8 yrs now
Still super nice job Fabricio. I'm jealous.Ramanisky2 - love itMiguex
- Give it a go Ramanisky! It has gotten much better since Flash. If you want, I can share the source file of this with you, both Animate and After EffectsFabricio
- Oh dude that would be awesome
Please please please
Thnx FabricioRamanisky2 - Super cool sir Fab!Chimp
- so nice!! so all the drawing was done directly in Animate CC, they're all vectors? Would love to see those sourcefiles too...Calderone2000
