What is probably the final update for the Ghost In The Shell inspired image I have occasionally been posting in the C4D thread.
Started off with this Hong Kong street scene...
...and ended up with this:
And a small time-lapse of how the image is built up showing the parts which were 3D, which was the main part of the exercise - to match the view (which is piss easy in C4D), then construct the large holograms and render them out to give them impression they are floating on the building facades.
Was all relatively straight forward to be honest - just a tarted up version of what I do professionally. But with added ScarJo tits.
- Seriously amazing work.
Cinema4D is something I def need to get on.Ramanisky2 - cool!scarabin

I recently completed a series of Illustrations that have a corresponding 360° VR Video so you can take a closer look at the details in an interactive way. Click the bitly link above for the full series.
- Its stereoscopic video, so looks best in cardboard or your VR headset. Chrome browser is second best.baseline_shift

- dope, how do you export to VR?Miguex
- Thanks! Downloaded Cineversity's VR cam plugin. Super useful tool.baseline_shift
- You'll also need this metadata injector to make youtube recognize the video as 360.

Another AE/Trapcode animation. Amnesia Haze Overload. It actually made sense when I worked on it. It had a story to it and everything.

Work continues to be a barren wasteland of ultimate nothingness until tomorrow when we close the office and fuck off for holidays for a month. So, more Ghost In The Shell C4D shenanigans. This time, Major's apartment.
Built everything based on a still from the film, with some added Ennis House blocks and pipes for flavour then used a cutout ScarJo from the same still.
- Tried various treatments for the window/exterior but nothing works so far.face_melter
- interesting stuff as always. Also, closed for a month of summer holidays?Fax_Benson
- lovely workRamanisky2

This is the final version, used Greyscale Gorilla's city building tool to generate the tower blocks. They lack facade detail but I wanted the density and scale more than the appearance. Think it works.
Did some further colour grading and contrast adjustments to make it heavier. Had to use an enlarged version of ScarJo taken from an 1080 rip of the film, which is kinda ok if you don't look too closely... So until there is a 4K version of the film or some HQ press stills magically appear, it will have to do. Easily the weakest part of the image. Nice wee exercise - learned some new things about modelling and creating more dramatic lighting for interiors. Going to post in the C4D thread about my next project - and just doing some tests yesterday, it'll be great fun but a total fucking nightmare at the same time.
- Nice. Her chest looks a bit odd is my only comment.Hayzilla
- She wears this semi-transparent top thing that is kinda boxy, so her body shape doesn't completely show through.face_melter
