Part of a new identity & communications design package I've been working on for about 4 months [with no end visible in the near future] But at least this invitation to come and watch the Red Bull Air Race at the clients office was actually done and printed [granted the actual identity will end up different than this]
Printed 2/1 on newsprint...

- using a serif completely.. the client is basically forcing me to use all helvetica...neue75_bold
- Farnham is much better then Plantin, in my opinion. The only thing I would change is...moamoa
- I would handle the backside like the front, headline(zondag) Helvetica, time = Italic, and then the copy in Regular...moamoa

Concept brochure designs for Springer [German science + business publisher]
The brochures were split into two booklets and simply bound together with an elastic. The first booklet entitled "The Curiosity Quotient" took a more editorial approach. By using the theme of "Curiosity" I wanted to express the innovations, beliefs, history and culture of Springer in a less conventional way. Images were placed on top of introductory text to further pique the readers curiosity.
The second booklet follows a more standard approach featuring detailed information on Springers offered subject collections, facts & figures and history.
Too many internal politics have prevented these pieces from being finished at this time, [they're in the process of being bought out] but the client has assured that they will proceed with these pieces.

I'm doing damage control on projects at work that went a bit awry in my absence. Print outs and markers, i feel like a six grade teacher.
every page of a book is already drenched in red remarks, i'm getting really pissed about this. This was really going to be a good portfolio piece but now its ruined because this hack of my boss didn't give my guys in the studio proper debriefs...- not really recent work, but hey had to vent...tank02
