In Flash.
Anyone done this before or knows of any examples. I'm wanting to animate a flat 2d shape from bird's eye view then to morph into it's 3d form which I have drawn in Illustrator using the 3d effects.Do I go down the Swift3d route and animate with that or C4d?

Do the all thing in C4D, then export it in swf.

The other thing is that it would need to interact, rather then just be a linear animation, the plan is to have roll-over effects applied to the 3d pie in flash for the navigation. (i.e. you roll-over one of the 4 segments and it elevates)
Is this still feasible between C4d and flash. Not used C4d before, maybe my concept was a bit too ambitious.

I don't have a toatally glear idea of what you wnat to achieve, but I have had sucess using Cinema4D to make animated 3D flash files. However, I often forgo exporting as a swf, and instead export my animations as individal sequential JPEGs, and then assemble them frame by frame. Yes, it can be a ball-ache, but it works for me =) good luck with your project dude!

Do you not need a plugin to export to a swf from cinema 4d? Sketch n toon or something?
I've always done the cel-render option and outputted frame by frame, as per above...

So,C4d sounds like the best route, thanks for the advice peeps!
