Studiospooky, in your estimation, who is a great contemporary artist? Just curious.

"Destroy Capitalism" and replace it with what?
Fucking hippie.

I hate that.
Anti-capitalists marching, waving flags, not washing, and telling me how shit everything is and how we should get rid of it. But they never, EVER have an alternative.

I'm not sure I could rustle up a valuable answer. I certainly think Banksy would fall easily into the category if that helps though. He has defined an era in such a way that his influence spreads through pop culture around the world. My only thought on the matter was that I no longer bristle with excitement when I see the classic Banksy formula rolled out, whether executed by him or anyone else. I tend to like pieces of work rather than artists. I think its possible to do one great piece of work and never hit the same pulse again.
- totally agree.mrdobolina

I'd like to replace capitalism with millions of little smiling daisies singing happy songs. What's wrong with that?

Studiospooky, My point of asking that question is there are no examples of great contemporary artists 100% of the time.

Well if he's on strike then they don't have to worry about any more bloody murals then do they.
