looking for a pocket camera* that i can whip out and take high quality photos with that also allows a bit o'manual control. any suggestions? am pondering a used contax t2 or an olympus xa.
*not digital - i don't think i could bear the image quality from a pea-sized sensor.

I've got a Lomo LC-A (a friend got it for me in Russia), pretty decent quality also a FED-4 (bought in Prague a couple of years ago) and Fisheye. Was looking at the lomo SMENA but dunno what its like.
Lomo stuff is cool but sometimes the build quality is a bit shite and if you buy it off their website you end up paying more for em than they're worth imo. Just try buying a cheap ass camera in a second hand camera shop/exchange and give it a go!
- its the lomo lens quality you pay for. a cheap camera will give you just that - cheap photographs.forcetwelve

The olympus Xa2
http://www.mattdentonphoto.com/c…
is better than the XAthe Xa2 was my first ever camera back in the early 80s. comes with a fix-on flash.
decent little camera.
for the last 8 years or so ive been shooting digital and had recently been getting pissed of with its preciseness so have switched back to 35mm film stuff.
I am in LOVE with the results that im getting from my Zenith (or Lomo) LC-A i got on ebay. its from 1986 and is as new!!
great little cameras. buy and LC-A from ebay rather than buying an LC-A+ from lomography.com though!!! much cheaper.Just got myself a HOLGA yesterday which im really looking forward to using.
