if it doesn't look like crap in the newsletter. I would screenshot the shit and crop it out.

nobody suggested a screenshot and then paste into photoshop??
easiest way I know of doing it....
But again, just tell them it won't work and yes, they WILL need to attach every single image to an email and no, it didn't help you any to have all the images together in one Word doc. Only way they will learn, even then half of them won't :(
- I've had considerable difficulty with this approach. Especially when the image is larger than the page at 100%ninjasavant
- exactly. my images are larger than how they are presented in the Word document, so copying + pasting = badJaline
- aah ok, makes sense.
magic tip above btw :)emecks

convert to a PDF & open in Photoshop - only way I know that it won't mess it up.

I forgot to add:
That said, I still tell everyone who tries to send me a word file with a picture that I can't do anything with it. Don't want to set that precedent.

For future reference, it is possible to get the original picture out of Word without too much trouble. Here's how:
Right click on the picture and select Format Picture . . .
Under the size tab set the size to 100% and hit ok.
Go to File>Save as web page. Choose to save it as a Web Page(html, htm)
Where you save the web page there will also be a folder with the same name as the file. Your images will have been exported in there.
- Thanks!Jaline

---seriously, never. The more you do, the more you get "Well, I sent it to you like that last tiime and it worked."

Ohhhh...the images were originally in a really bad resolution.
*sigh
Whatever, I have to still use them. No one seems to be able to tell the difference.

Thanks. I just have to suck it up and ask her for it.
Here I go!

It's a woman. And it's a PC.
She didn't give it to me directly b/c she doesn't know about the web process, and because it's kind of a newsletter thingy.

pc? mac? what kind of format did he put in the word dokument?
why didint he mail it directly to you?

This is a good lesson. The correct thing to do is send it back to him and explain that can do nothing with it. And if he wants to see it online, he can give you the original source. Never give in to that kind of nonsense.

Hi.
My co-worker put an image into Word and wants me to put it online. Is there a way to import it into Photoshop without losing anything? I attempted to copy and paste but it looks like shit. If not, I will have to use the image, as horrible as it looks.
Thanks.
