Please excuse my lack of JS knowledge but this is a personal project.
I have a page that scrolls horizontally.
it tiles to say 4 pages.I want to create an effect on that when I click on a navigation item the page will slide to the anchor point and keep it to the top left corner of the page.
can someone point me in the direction of something like this?
the more plugin and play the better.ta.

that code is so obtrusive..the site looks great and the work is awesome, but his coding job on that page is terrible
- What is terrible about it?mimeartist
- i guess that doesn't matter if everything looks and works finejonatne
- that wasn't the questionmimeartist
- i know, i wrote that before i read your response..
terrible is a strong word, sorry about that..
i meant from a standard point of view.. the inline styles, obtrusive javascript, etc
jonatne - i meant from a standards point of view.. the inline styles and obtrusive javascriptjonatne
- If its his own site why does it matter, its not like anyone else is gonna have to maintain itmodern
- ever looked at qbn? total mindfuckkingsteven
- Bad typography is to designers as bad code is to programmers. It only matters to those who care.dpulito

I've been poking around mootoolsand script.aculo.us to see what i can see, event went to spry, for a gander

can you not just borrow all the code from mimeartist? pick through that. be sure to grab the mootools.svn.js, that's the engine that makes it all work. Then there is some sort of function call, jumpTo() maybe... good luck, you'll get it

i like the way to arrows show up on the nav indicating what section your on
a lot of the time people who use these unique types of navs lose all ounce of usability, but there is plenty going on here that keeps the user well aware of whats going on..
that being said, i wasn't saying anything about the caliber of mimeartist's work or even this website, only the source code i saw running it
- Stugoo0
your right i should stop fucking about and just get stuck into it and figure it out!
thanks for you help.
Ill be sure to post up the final product when its done... if i ever finish it.- I built the site in two daysmimeartist

mootools is pretty good with stuff like this once you figure out what 'fx' module/code you need.
