There’s the whole non-square pixel issue as well. I am probably going to get this wrong, but use the above-mentioned dimensions and then choose your output destination in Image > Pixel Aspect Ratio. (?) Anyone?

yeah, I remember reading about that and it is confusing.
So if I do NTSC Full screen:
In photoshop I have to design in: 720x534 (square)
then studio pro will resize it to 720x480 (rectangle) and this will result in no distortion, correct?Thanks for the help btw!

glad something like this came up. I have a few movies I've been trying to burn through DVD Studio Pro and everytime I burn them and play them back on my computer the compression looks crappy. but when I play the QT file that I used to burn the disc it plays much clearer. Is this just the crappy dvd player in my compy or is the QT file getting compressed in DVD Studio Pro; and if so, is there a setting in there to change that?

Last time I did it was:
720x534But it was full screen

NTSC = 720x480(1.2 pix aspect ratio) / 853 x 480 (square pixel)
PAL = 720x576 (1.42) / 1024x576 (square)

Thanks Bleip!
is it better to use square pixels? I'm authoring in studio pro.
