I found some info on filter about this topic but I'm hoping for more. If I'm under a 3 month contract how should I figure out what to charge? Is that amount more or less than if I was just freelancing for them for 3 months? Thx for any tips.

How are they paying you?
I would bill them hourly for all the time you spend there.
The other option is to figure out a day rate and use that to come up with what 3 months of your life is worth.
It should be about the same as if you were freelancing for 3 months, perhaps adding in additional travel and food expenses.

I generally give a discount (hourly rate * number of hours/day * .85 = daily rate). Add travel expenses for on-site work. The way I figure it... it's less marketing and project estimates I will have to complete and a more predictable schedule. You have to determine for yourself what the "job security" is worth. I use job security lightly since you'll probably be the first to be canned should the shit hit tha fan.
