"The suitcase contained thousands of negatives of pictures that Robert Capa, one of the pioneers of modern war photography, took during the Spanish Civil War before he fled Europe for America in 1939, leaving behind the contents of his Paris darkroom."

no doubt there will be a massive ticket price to go and see those! historical art of that nature should be free for all.

damn those who do not know robert capa. his photograph of the "victim" of the spanish civil war has been much debated, real or staged? these negatives can potentially shed more light on the whole situation.

He may not have photographed it at all. Gerda may have. The invention of "Robert Capa" is the best thing about him.

yeah this was over the weekend. It may help prove or not that that famous photo he took of a soldier being shot (as posted on another thread) may have been a fake!

i dont care if that "victim" photo was faked or not. you can't say those d-day photos are faked. you can't shake the fact that this is the first real war-time photographer. and it's still amazing how many wars he's documented without dying... until he did step on a landmine that is...
