To be honest, if you're owed money and you've got a legitimate claim to it, you should just file for it on small claims court. You don't even need to turn up most of the time and it only costs about £80 and you can do it online.
I've had similar clients (admittedly I didn't fuck up the work) who were shit at paying up and the threat is usually good enough to get your money.
I guess a blog like that really isn't going to do you any favours as the way you've posted it sounds like you've no real claim to anything and they're just telling you to do one.
Also, if NWYH have merged with another company who sound like a pimple product, surely even the SEO aims of your blog are now a little out of date.
My two pence anyway.

yep, you're right, jamble. I did get it wrong in quite a few ways. I remember considering the small claims option and dismissing it because it seemed like more fun to get angry and trash their brand.
so yeh... not my best moment, but hey. Bygones.

"bygones" - I'm not sure NWYH will see it that way...?
I don't really know much about legal stuff, but shouldn't you take that blog down... surely it's slander and they could take you to the cleaners for it?! :/
- listingslab0
I don't agree. Obviously :)
- you want to get sued?! :/RoomFive
- I'd like to see them try. And all I would have to do to halt the process is remove the blog process. So why do it now?listingslab
- er - remove the blog post I mean.listingslab

The guy who made the quiz in the end, didn't use any of the orginal code, [Fact]

That seems a bit fuckin shady to have someone do work, let the project go to shite, then pay someone else to do it again from scratch.
My guess is there are some project managers who don't know their arse from a hole in the ground to be wasting money like that.
- If I was freelancing for someone, and I didn't deliver I wouldn't aks for money for it. Just like a company won't get paid if the project isn't finishedkevincoffey

Also, you can't sue for defamation/libel if what this chap is saying is true. If he built and finished the work without notice of the project being terminated, then I'd be right pissed and blogging about it too.

The guy who did it in the end, also finished what he said he would finish, in the time he said he would do it.

i agree with coffey, assuming the scope of the project stayed the same and did not wander wildly, if he didnt deliver he shouldnt get paid and he shouldnt bleet about it either.
- listingslab0
yeh well, to each their own.

This is why Art Directors shouldn't be project managers.

Too much ego. Too little people skill.
- Surely, it depends on the person not the position they hold...?kevincoffey

A) YOu should always get a % up front. It's not uncommon to do a 50/50 payment schedule. It's your fault for not getting a deposit. I have been bit just like this before. Live and learn. Like me, you will never go without some money in the future.
B) Never ever post anything shitty like that again and if you can, remove the post right now and save some face. It's not going to help you in the least and it surely won't hurt them. That's going to hurt you more than anything else good because I for one wouldn't want to work with someone as high school as that.

I wasn't pm'ing the job. I didn't design it either, just saying the guy who put it together, simply completed to the job.
