Our teacher would read us the Lord of the Rings every day at the end of class. She encouraged us all to draw the characters from it.

Gesso base, colour pencil sketch and watercolour details on top.
White gouache for the highlights.

Didn't use gesso for the base, just drew straight onto the paper with the pencils, they're slightly waxy so the line work shows through the watercolour slightly.
The hair is gouache fo it would be solid with watercolour details on top.- Hah saw this on your Instagram and thought... grafician ain't gonna be happy :D excellent work man.kingsteven

After watching the Giger documentary, I kept wanting to draw the 6 year old Hans Ruedi running through the streets with the skull his father gave him on a string.
I'd doodled out the sketch but ended up doodling out a background and getting more lost in that.

20 frames done so far and got through a good chunk of the downfall of the Aztec Civilization podcast.
Once the colour is added, I reckon the line work won't seem as intense.

Bennn, here's some Kukeri drawings I did in 2009 and some head dress doodles in an old sketchbook.
The Kukeri traditition seemed amazing to me at the time, a week long boozefest in insane costumes. i know there are other cultural significances around it, but that's what stuck out.

Did this today, was meant to be a loose drawing, but ended up taking ages doing the colours. I drew the wash layer on a separate sheet and tried to create some texture on it, think it worked out alright. Tried to not add too much in the background as I'd have been there til xmas.
