You will have to explore some pretty intensive Content Management utilities if you asked me. You will also need to setup a gateway for the payments, and finally a secure database for user information. What are you writing about just out of curiosity??
- i was curious about how the job posting site works..which you have to pay in order to apply..shushun

Question for you?
With over 60 million blogs all of them with are free, Time Magazine, Wikipedia, Forbes, etc... all for free. Why will anyone even consider paying for content? The only business model that will even have a remote chance of succeeding in through advertising revenues. I do not know anyone willing to pay for articles unless you are the next undiscovered Einstein, Darwin or Plato. Good luck.

Go half way down the page. It states that its based off credits which allows you to post. So My guess is they have an account database that stores the information of the user and what they bought. this is updated based on aproval from Auth-net, or some payment gateway. Then some how they have some kind of time script in which will remove the posting from that user which is on another database. Make sense? I don't know if I am explaining it well but it makes sense in my head. ( If I am even right.)
Man when I worked for a start up publication as the creative director we were looking into payment gateways and which ones work with what bank accounts and having it be compatible with different accounting interfaces, long story short it was an absolute mess. I wish you the best of luck!
- thx.. it seems very complicated.. maybe i should persuade my client just provide it for free..honestly i also don't think people would pay money to read what he is going to write..shushun

you should search around the net for some newer paypal articles... those are hella free and they tell you how to set up paypal to bill people monthly, whatever you know. I think you can make it work, just do a joomla/wp and make the wp part of the members only shit that u need paypal to see.
hope it made sense
