I'm getting more and more sad from thinking about the entire sequence with Adama, Laura, Lee, and Kara, and how alone some of the characters were. Peaceful too, of course, but I don't think about that as much because I don't fully realize how it feels to have non-stop action and turmoil for years in outer space ;) Sounds pathetic, I know. Must. think. about. happier. parts...
Juxtaposing that line Anders said when he used to play sports with his end as a cylon was beautiful.

I can't think of a better show on television.

I'm guessing another resurrection ship is going to appear soon on the darkside of the earth. and number 7 will reveal themselves to their other selves, who ever it may be. I don't think its Kara either. There's always a big twist in these things, and they always come just before the final episode.
- Except for revealing the 5th. They wanted to get that out of the way so it wouldn't distract anything else before the end.juhls

By the way, I found this conversation at IMDb to be interesting. Regarding the decision to give up most technology:

I went to a screening at the Dome in Los Angeles and saw the mid season finale. It was great, nice to see it on the big screen and then Ron and 3 other cast members answering questions form nerds.
This episode is a great example why this show is one of the best on TV. Edge of your seat drama and a few tear jerkers here and there. The ending was NUTS!Some notables:
-The 5th cylon was NOT revealed.
-Torri picks sides.
-The text next season in the intro will need to change.
-Apollo steps up big time.
-More cutesy moments between Bill and Roslin.Ah im such a nerd.

Adama, guys.
*tear
- And that's about all that happened in this episode. It's obviously a setup for the finale.Jaline

- oh, he didn't die or anything. I downloaded the episode. Apparently it aired in Britain since they didn't have a holiday.Jaline
- or did he die? you'll have to watch...
:PJaline - downlaoding now...arrrr can' wait...tank02

Cylon civil war. Galactica looking war weary. AND someone finally off'd Cally. Good times, good times.

I hate to keep posting in here and bringing things up, but I was wondering... (view note)
- -->juhls
- Did it bother anyone else that they just destroyed every ship? It seems unlikely that everyone would just agree that it was thejuhls
- right thing to do, even if they were in cramped quarters for years and technology was as bad to them as it was good.juhls
- I get that Adama was still like a king at the moment Lee came up with that, but I think they could've used ship parts for shelter or something. Also, wouldjuhls
- something. Also, would everyone really agree to never leave the new Earth? They are stuck there without ships. I knowjuhls
- the point is that they don't want history to repeat itself, so they have to get rid of most technology, but it's something to think aboutjuhls
- think about. I wonder about technology that has to do with medicine, specifically.juhls

Cancelled!

"This 'leave the technology behind' thing would have lasted only until somebody got a toothache."
- ++1 - absolutely! That's the aspect that really bugged me. A true reset with 150k yr catchup would be impossibleNairn
- In their situation, I guess I'd happily renounce megatech and weaponry - but basic comforts and civilisation?Nairn
- Mind you, they didn't have an Internet, so perhaps it's not such a great step down...Nairn
- Yeah, I realized that just about an hour ago. No internet....so maybe it wasn't as big a deal as we may think.juhls
- But they did have ships, so...yeah...juhls

Some interesting questions are brought up here:
http://www.televisionwithoutpity…Unanswered questions didn't bother me as much with "BSG" as they normally would with other shows. Maybe it's because the writing was still done relatively well.

Another great episode. Don't think there will be any mediocre ones left, since it's the last episode (although any episode from this show beats the best ones from many other shows).
So many things to take in. Yay, Boomer.
