New question. Does anyone know of any great online web development programs?
If not, I may just attend a college in Ottawa (but only if they give me some funding). It's not really about the diploma but I do want some experience with more programs (and I think I work better with set deadlines and things).

If you dont know any programmin at all, it helps to choose your first programming language to be one of the C derivatives family, like Javascript and ActionScript are very similar syntax-wise, PHP too to some extent. So, Flash is a good choice.
Ruby On Rails, on the other hand, is different

This may or may not change your life.
Its the second one I read. Of course creating some uses for code would help. Think of something you'd like to accomplish and figure out how to go about it. HTML and CSS are really the least. If you add Javascript perhaps you can call it development, otherwise its just static code.- ps the book is like 20 bucksgeralddean

i agree with the LAMP comment , especially mySQL , but just database design in general (tables, Fields , index)
and a good look at all the new xhtml tags
